CNC Operator

Job Description Arconic is currently in search of CNC Operator to join Kawneer in Visalia . The CNC Operator tends fabricating machines such as brakes, presses, machines, and punch; that cut, shape, and bend metal extrusionsto form industrial doors and frames. $25.05/hour is base pay for this position. Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations. Identifies material by part number and product finish. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves and machinery by hand. Inspects extrusions for scratches, dents and quality. Reads and interprets take-off sheets, consolidated cut lists, and shop orders, Templates to determine machine setup and sequence of operation. Using the codes marked on extrusions references a computer database to locate those codes and obtain the settings for the CNC program. Programs settings and then operates the Emmegi, Bridgeport or Mori Siki CNC machinery. Locate and identify all standard door and frame hardware. Follows the MDR process for scrap material. Performs quality inspections throughout the entire manufacturing process. Verifies all measurements for accuracy. Completes checklists, logs and reports. Maintain a clean work area. Able to calculate location of hardware without referring to codes marked on material. Able to read take off and move hardware locations without assistance. Ability to flex to other areas based on business needs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to six months related work experience is preferred. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, Hardware templates, Takeoffs, safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondents. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors. Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations. Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch. Computer knowledge Physical Demands Able to stand for long periods of time. Able to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds or 1/3 of your body weight. Able to work 12 hour days. Able to wear required PPE. Able to bend and twist repetitively. About the Team Visalia's production facility is located just 50 minutes South of Fresno.
