Mechanical Project Manager

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Houston, TX to oversee commercial mechanical construction projects from award through completion.

Impact
- Deliver mechanical projects up to $10M on schedule and within budget
- Build lasting client relationships that generate repeat business opportunities
- Strengthen project execution through effective coordination of field and office teams
- Support company growth by identifying and pursuing new work in the region

Responsibilities
- Manage one or more mechanical construction projects from start to finish
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource plans aligned with contract requirements
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and field teams on material selection and installation methods
- Review and approve subcontractor proposals, purchase orders, and change requests
- Monitor project costs and prepare monthly financial forecasts and variance reports
- Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality control procedures
- Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and closeout packages

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience
- Experience managing commercial HVAC and plumbing projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction methods
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves
- Degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Experience with healthcare or industrial project types
- OSHA-30 certification
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and BIM coordination workflows
