Bank Teller

IMMEDIATE OPENING for a detail-oriented teller with a credit union in the Baton Rouge Area!!!!!


Our client has over 60 years of experience in serving the state of Louisiana, and they are willing to train candidates with excellent customer service skills and previous cash-handling experience. This position is looking for someone to stay for 5-6 years to grow and make a home within the organization. Pay for the position begins at $15 per hour.


Bank Teller Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate cash handling duties including deposits, withdrawals, and cashing checks
• Process banking transactions such as debits and credits using financial software and cash management systems
• Provide premier service to customers with account inquiries
• Detect and prevent potential fraud by monitoring transaction for suspicious activity and adhering to security protocols
• Receive, process, and stop payments on loans and other official payments
• Balances cash drawer daily and assists with processing of ATM and the vault.
• Assists with night depository duties; log bags; processes deposits; makes change orders; issues receipts and returns bags to customers.
• Cross-sell and promote financial institution services

Bank Teller Requirements:

• Previous cash handling experience is REQUIRED
• Previous teller or banking experience STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
