Cardiothoracic Imaging University Hospitals Cleaveland, Ohio, United States (On-Site) Full-Time $520,000 - $570,000 Salary- Type Yearly Salary Description University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center / Case Western Reserve School of Medicine The Department of Radiology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center /Case Western Reserve University is seeking a highly motivated fellowship-trained, board certified or board eligible Cardiothoracic Imager. The selected candidate will join a state-of-the art subspecialty Cardiothoracic Imaging section. We have been at the forefront of developing and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) tools for imaging analysis, with 5 active AI tools utilized for patient care on a day-to-day basis. We collaborate extensively with industry leaders in the development of these tools and have published widely on the use of AI in medical imaging. UH Cleveland Medical Center is a premier academic medical center located in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. We have a long-standing tradition of excellence in patient care, education, and research. Our Radiology department provides state-of-the-art imaging technologies, including CT, MRI, and PET/CT, to support the diagnostic and treatment needs of our patients. The University Hospitals health system performs more than 1.5 million exams per year, with 100 radiologists. We are an active teaching program with 40 residents and 9 fellows. The department is committed to excellence in image-based clinical care. We have a growing cardiac surgery division with 8 cardiac surgeons with an active TAVI, LVAD and heart transplant program. We have a collaborative cardiac imaging program with the department of cardiology, and a growing cardiac MRI program utilizing 1.5 and 3T cardiac magnets. In addition to conventional clinical MRI imaging, we have growing efforts including exercise/stress MRI, and adult congenital MRI. We have performed over 100,000 coronary artery calcium scores, with active ambulatory and growing ER chest pain programs with coronary CTA with CT FFR. Our Thoracic Surgery program has 5 active thoracic surgeons, a growing lung cancer program and active lung transplant division. We have a growing lung cancer-screening program, screening 1000 patients/month with over 10,000 enrolled patients. We have active research programs with multivendor research relationships in Digital Radiography, Spectral/Dual Energy CT, and MRI. We have active human and small animal cardiac MR research program with 6 cardiac capable MRIs at our main and community campuses. There are active and robust research programs in AI for lung cancer and cardiac disease with our Biomedical Engineering colleagues. Qualifications Education Doctorate Degree Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with an unrestricted license (Required) Appointment with CWRU SOM at the level commensurate with experience (Required) Work Experience Fellowship Training in some specialties (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. (Required proficiency) Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise. (Required proficiency) Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
