Role Overview Your role will be: Use specialized software to create models and drawings of products. Research new materials and methods of development. Organize and maintain existing engineering records. Construct prototypes and confirm designs with design/purchasing team. Creates Bill of Material from drawings. Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards. Utilizes engineering principles and standard designs to develop project designs and layouts. Works with Sales Engineer, Project Manager, Fabrication and Field Service groups. Independently performs assignments after instructions as to the general results expected. Receives guidance on unusual problems and supervisory approval on developed plans. Performs conventional engineering work including standard designs. Makes engineering calculations. Develops elementary designs expanding on detailed schematic sketches. Coordinates production and coordination with Senior Engineer/Designer or Project Engineer/Designer. Follow design templates when generating print sets. Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design engineering. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor and Autodesk Vault (Experience with 3D solid modeling for design conceptualization and realization). Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes including welding. Understanding of Thermal Process Applications.
