Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology - Physician - Mount Sinai South Nassau - Oceanside, NY

Description Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, NY is currently seeking a full‑time qualified board‑certified stroke neurologist to serve as Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology. The selected candidate must have excellent clinical skills with an interest in outpatient and inpatient stroke care, a track record of clinical and/or translational research, and strong leadership skills. The candidate will be expected to provide equal effort in clinical care and in leadership of the Division. The Division of Neurology is currently comprised of eight faculty neurologists who work to achieve the hospital’s Joint Commission gold seal approval for disease‑specific primary stroke care, AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center certification, and partial thrombectomy‑capable interventional services. We are building a full comprehensive thrombectomy‑capable Stroke Center and Neurology Service and are looking to recruit full‑time faculty to expand the Division’s services.
