This role requires a strong focus on process optimization, product quality, cost efficiency, and team leadership. The Engineering Manager acts as a key technical expert and strategic leader, collaborating with production, maintenance, quality, and R&D to support the company's operational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of process, mechanical, and electrical engineers.Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for wire drawing, stranding, insulating, jacketing, and other cable production operations.Oversee capital projects, including new equipment installation, upgrades, and factory layout changes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, process efficiency, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., UL, ISO, RoHS).Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower production costs.Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams for troubleshooting equipment and process issues.Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.Evaluate and approve technical documentation, engineering drawings, and process instructions.Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for equipment and materials.Develop and manage the engineering department budget.QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred).ExperienceMinimum 7–10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.Strong background in wire and cable manufacturing processes (e.g., extrusion, cross-linking, shielding, cabling).Proven experience in managing capital projects and continuous improvement programs.SkillsProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and process modeling tools.Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.Knowledge of applicable manufacturing and product standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, ASTM).Experience with ERP and manufacturing data systems (e.g., SAP, MES).Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.Work EnvironmentMix of office and production floor environment.Occasional travel to suppliers, customers, or other manufacturing sites may be requiredFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
