Medical Technologist (MT)

Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician

Holyoke Medical Center is a proud 219-bed community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the pioneer valley for over 125 years. Our laboratory team is looking for an ASCP registered, or registry eligible, Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician who believes in our Labs Mission Statement of working collaboratively to ensure quality results for every patient every time. Duties include all aspects of blood banking and blood donor phlebotomy, specimen processing and clerical duties.

Requirements:

• For MT/MLS Bachelors degree with successful completion of science mandated for eligibility for the MT/MLS ASCP licensing exam.
• For MLT - Associates degree from an accredited program as a Medical Laboratory Technician OR a Bachelors degree in an appropriate science with eligibility for MLT ASCP licensing exam.
• Blood banking experience required. Donor phlebotomy experience highly preferred.

Applicants must have: a passion for caring for a community through quality work in a stand-alone hospital lab. A drive to learn new practices to be able to adapt to our rapidly growing test menu.
