Principal Structural Analysis Engineer

Driving innovation in high-speed interconnect technology, the remote Principal Structural Analysis Engineer will lead structural mechanics and thermal-mechanical modeling efforts, utilizing finite element analysis to evaluate and optimize product designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Lead the development and application of first-principles engineering analysis and FEA modeling to evaluate solution concepts Execute high-fidelity non-linear structural and thermal-mechanical simulations to assess product performance and reliability Collaborate with design engineers to define simulation parameters and ensure effective model verification and validation processes Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred 8-10+ years of experience in high-fidelity FEA and structural/thermal-mechanical analysis Expertise in commercial FEA platforms, particularly Ansys Mechanical, with a focus on non-linear materials and thermal-stress coupling Strong experience in test correlation and model calibration techniques Familiarity with 3D CAD platforms and cloud/HPC simulation environments is a plus
