Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: New York License required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must have New York license in hand - EPIC charting experience required - Candidates will float to different units - Must be able to take a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Medical-Surgical Description: Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience. This is a high-volume unit caring primarily for patients with various conditions. Daily responsibilities include assessing and managing patients with CHF, acute MI, and post-device care such as pacemakers. Candidates should be comfortable providing care for general surgery patients as well. Floating between units is required. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of oxygen administration. Experience with blood product administration and wound care is necessary. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate in an interdisciplinary setting. The facility has a total of 528 staffed beds. Candidates should expect to work weekends every other week.
