Job Description
MRI Technologist

Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float between different facilities as needed to support patient care.

Schedule

This position involves a 12-hour night shift with a commitment to work 1-2 weekends a month. The technologist must be adaptable to changing schedules to meet unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures on patients, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
• Document and manage patient information using Epic EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• ARRT or ARMRIT license in MRI with advanced licensure required.
• Experience with Philips MRI equipment is necessary.
• A minimum of 1 year of MRI tech experience is required.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
• Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting is required.
