Employees in this class perform major and minor installation and maintenance and may be assigned as lead workers on larger, more difficult projects. Education and Experience: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred AND Four (4) years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Pumps and motors, hydraulics, or pneumatics AND Responsible experience in the maintenance of equipment found in wastewater treatment facilities, levees, and pump stations. Special Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operators license from the time of appointment. Must possess a forklift operators permit by the end of the probationary period. Pay Range: $28.44 with step increases to $32.37 Hourly Benefits: Forty-hour work week. Paid leave per year: twelve days vacation; eighteen days sick; and fourteen holidays.
