Veterinary Technician

Argenta, MVS is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team at our Oakland, NE location. The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for supporting veterinary research, maintaining animal care, and assisting veterinarians in their duties. Responsibilities Clean and perform daily chores repeatedly under the direction of senior staff and veterinarians. Collect research data and samples in accordance with study protocols and Good Documentation Practices. Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures and inform veterinarians if abnormalities are observed. Promote and maintain the well-being of animals including feeding and basic care. Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery. Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions. Responsible for recording information both timely and accurately. Build relationships with key individuals and contributors in the organization and beyond. Requirements Associate degree in Veterinary science or equivalent education and experience. Experience working with animals; large and small. Ability to work well with others and maintain composure. Ability to work collaboratively as well as communicate effectively both written and orally. Attention to detail and analytically driven. Dependability, flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Willingness to be on call and in on-call rotation, including weekends. Live within a satisfactory distance to assist in on call purposes and procedures. Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
