Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Position Overview:

Worldwide Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) to provide high-quality patient care in fast-paced emergency department settings. The ER RN will assess, treat, and monitor patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage according to established protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during emergency procedures.
• Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment.
• Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members during emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• TNCC certification preferred (or required depending on facility).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical assessment skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Trauma center experience.
• Rural healthcare or critical access hospital experience.
• Travel nursing experience.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency.
