Java Backend Developer

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Java Backend Developer will manage Java/Java EE application development, providing expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept to testing. Key responsibilities: Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications, setting expectations and priorities throughout the development lifecycle Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms Required qualifications: Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms Proficiency in Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate) Experience with the Spring Framework Familiarity with developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
