Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking qualified Pharmacy Technicians to support healthcare services within a federal correctional facility. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications while ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret prescriptions and medication orders from medical staff Prepare medications for pharmacist review prior to dispensing Assist in medication distribution and pill line operations Maintain pharmacy inventory, including tracking expiration dates Ensure proper storage and handling of medications Maintain accurate records using pharmacy computer systems Assist in restocking automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis) Monitor and maintain controlled substance and syringe inventories Support patient instruction when appropriate Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace Assist with administrative and documentation tasks Minimum Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB Certification REQUIRED) Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician High school diploma or equivalent Current CPR certification Basic computer and data entry skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Asa Healthcare Staffing
