Location: Waterloo, IA - 50701

Duration: 12 Months (possible extension, annual renewal)

1st Shift: Start time between 6 AM and 7 AM , minimal overtime

Job Description:

• Join our team as a Supply Management Specialist, supporting key supply chain operations with the Operations in Waterloo, IA.
• You will act as the primary liaison for Purchasing Desk RFD Metal Fabrication Desk supporting Large Tractor in Waterloo.
• Your role will involve managing critical part shortages, delinquent requirements from suppliers, mitigating line down risks, and communicating effectively and efficiently to cross-functional teams.
• This position requires active engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute, in a supply chain of low complexity, planning activities for Waterloo OFP Metal Fab Desk Code RFD.
• Carry out a range of supplier management activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
• Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats; involves working independently.
• Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
• Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes.
• Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective.
• Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
• Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
• Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
• Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems, advising colleagues as needed and using expertise to help improve processes.

Requirements:

• BA in business or another related field - Manager is open to recent grad candidates.
• Self-starter with the ability to analyze data and lead the way through complex problems.
• Strong interest in initiating and developing new relationships with suppliers and peer functional groups.
• Demonstrated communication skills; SAP experience is required.

Additional Information:

• Interviews will be conducted in person at Operations.
• Business casual dress code.
• Travel to other Waterloo sites using personal vehicle will be required as the role is shared between two different Waterloo locations.
• Position will work fully onsite.
• Purchase of metatarsal shoes will be needed, although not required immediately.
