Job Summary
W e are seeking a detail-oriented Technology Quality Technician to support quality control operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing inspections, tests, and documenting results to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
Job Description
- Conduct visual, physical, and mechanical inspections of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products in accordance with inspection procedures and standard work.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection requirements and verify product conformance.
- Measure product dimensions using precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment, and accurately document results in the quality database.
- Identify, isolate, and report nonconforming materials or products, and support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Perform manufacturing and engineering tests while following established procedures and safety requirements.
- Verify that measurement and testing equipment is calibrated, properly maintained, and functioning correctly.
- Assist with the design, setup, and implementation of test fixtures and inspection methods.
- Perform calibration of measurement systems when authorized.
- Participate in Hazard Analysis and Risk Control reviews to ensure inspection and testing activities are performed safely.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives using Manufacturing System principles and tools.
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members and recommend improvements to inspection and testing procedures.
- Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical inspection experience with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and determine inspection requirements.
- Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and inspection gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMM programming and operation.
- Experience using SAP.
- Machining or machine shop background.
- Experience with calibration processes and quality management systems.
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $21 - $24 per hour ( Compensation will be offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
Additional Requirements
- Schedule: 1st Shift - M-F 8am-5pm
