Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Santa Monica, California. This position involves providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal care in a busy acute care hospital setting. The role requires flexibility to float between units and the ability to assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk pregnancy monitoring. The candidate will work in a modern, beachside facility with a high volume of deliveries and interdisciplinary support.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week beginning 08/24/2026.
• Required Qualifications: CA license must be in hand; minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM, BLS, NRP, FHM required; prior experience with Epic charting system; experience working in a high-volume delivery setting (200-300 births/month).
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to assist with vaginal deliveries, circulating for cesarean sections, and work in an OR during C-sections; experience working with high-risk antepartum patients; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Additional Information: This role involves working in an acute care, beachside hospital with 266 staffed beds. The nurse will support high-risk pregnancies, fetal monitoring, labor and delivery procedures, and postpartum care. Float to postpartum is required when needed. The facility expects a commitment to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. RTO restrictions apply, and the candidate must respond to specific pre-submission questions related to previous experience with the organization and recent certification status.
