Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekend Schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scrub and circulator roles within the operating room across a variety of surgical specialties
• Provide intraoperative nursing care for procedures including vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, OMFS, podiatry, and trauma cases
• Operate and assist with robotic surgical systems, with a focus on urology procedures
• Support Level 2 Trauma cases as needed during scheduled shifts
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout all phases of the perioperative process

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• Experience in Vascular (open and endovascular), Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Trauma, Urology, General Surgery, and Level 2 Trauma
• Proficiency in robotic surgical systems, specifically in urology
• Current BLS certification required
• Trauma certification required (TNCC or equivalent trauma course certification)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience in an operating room setting
• Pulmonary procedure experience including bronchoscopies and EBUS
• Familiarity with OMFS and podiatric surgical procedures
