We assist clients with family-based immigration, deportation defense, naturalization, student visas, work visas, and other immigration matters. We also represent clients in personal injury cases, advocating for individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Position Summary The Immigration Associate provides critical support to attorneys throughout all phases of the immigration process, including case intake, assisting clients with writing their story, and document management. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of immigration support experience , strong legal research and document management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Immigration Case Management Communicating with clients Completing intakes Gathering necessary client documents and information to begin their case Assist clients in completing their immigration paperwork and helping write their stories Draft and organize all legal documents Legal Research & Documentation Conduct legal research, gathering relevant case law and supporting materials Provide information to the team Send contracts and signature pages Administrative & Client Support Coordinate communication with clients Answer calls and schedule clients to meet with the attorney Manage all administrative responsibilities in the office Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper documentation in accordance with legal and firm policies Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the firm's manager Qualifications Required: Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies (or equivalent experience) Strong knowledge of immigration procedures and filing processes Fluency in French, Fulani, or Wolof Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Core Competencies Attention to Detail: Maintains high levels of accuracy across legal documentation and filings Organization: Effectively manages complex case files and deadlines Communication: Professional interaction with attorneys, clients, and court personnel Time Management: Ability to manage multiple active cases and competing priorities Confidentiality: Maintains strict discretion with sensitive legal matters The company offers a competitive benefits package which may include: Health Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Law Firm of Kouyate and Associates
