**Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience required - Phlebotomy skills are a must - BCLS certification - Skills needed include: racking patients, performing phlebotomy, central line care, assisting with bone marrow biopsies, vaccinations, EKG, phone triage, facilitating patient scheduling, patient education, phone calls, and case management - Experience in an acute Oncology/Hematology setting will be considered - RNs are required to bring their own stethoscope **Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience:** - Oncology clinic experience preferred - Certification preferences: ONS, BMTCN, OCN **Additional Job Requirements & Qualifications:** - Skills required: Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Outpatient oncology, Patient/Family education and support, Phlebotomy skills, Telephone Triage, Bone Marrow Biopsies, Patient Assessment - Must possess a NC or Compact license; pending licensure is acceptable for submittal **Other Requirements:** - Travelers must go into the lab within 48 hours of signing a contract - All testing must be completed within 48 hours - Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility per the job description - Previous internal (Novant/New Hanover) employees must wait 12 months before reapplying and disclose previous employment - Local candidates within 50 miles receive a lower rate - Must work two out of three major holidays - All time off must be approved pre-signing; no additional requests allowed afterward **Systems and Orientation:** - EPIC system experience required - Unit orientation consists of 24 hours
