PLC Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician to join our dynamic team in Springfield, IL, 62704. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems. Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain PLC systems and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC programming and hardware.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automated systems.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance.
Document all maintenance activities and system changes accurately.
Provide technical support and training to team members as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in PLC technology.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with PLCs, including programming and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems.
Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
