Assess patients from pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods.
Create customized treatment plans addressing both immediate targets and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing abilities.
Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions targeting various aspects of communication, including language development, fluency, articulation, and swallowing support.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop integrated care approaches.
Deliver educational resources to patients and families to further their progress beyond therapy sessions.
Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for all patients involved.
Accurately document patient progress and maintain records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Stay informed about industry advancements through continuing education and peer engagement.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for diverse age groups, with a deep understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disordersboth developmental and acquired.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adaptability in employing therapy techniques to cater to a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Robust clinical judgment paired with effective problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and compliance with documentation standards.
