As an Export Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless international shipments, navigating complex regulations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service to our customers. What you will be doing:

• Oversee all aspects of export operations and trade compliance for Staples Promotional Products within the Logistics team
• Research country-specific regulations to ensure products meet export requirements prior to shipment
• Classify promotional products using Schedule B tariff classifications
• Evaluate export limitations including ECCN licensing requirements
• Calculate freight, duty, and tax estimates across air, ocean, and ground transportation
• Prepare export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin
• Track shipments and resolve customs issues with U.S. CBP and foreign agencies
• Prepare AES filings and maintain export records for compliance (5-year retention)
• Conduct restricted/denied party screenings and compliance audits
• Deliver internal training on export compliance processes
• Collaborate with vendors, freight partners, and internal stakeholders
• Audit and process carrier invoices

What's needed: Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant warehouse work experience
• 2+ years experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors
• 2+ years of experience in international trade and logistics
• 2+ years proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Experience with export documentation, AES filings, and compliance processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
