The Receiver plays a critical role in the retail trade industry by managing the intake and processing of incoming merchandise and shipments. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic experience in inventory management or receiving in a retail or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Familiarity with basic computer systems and inventory software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Receiver or in a similar role within retail trade.
• Knowledge of retail inventory management systems such as RFID or barcode scanning.
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.
• Verify received goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Record and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate departments.
• Organize and store merchandise in designated areas following company protocols.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock management systems.
• Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely product availability.
• Assist in periodic inventory audits and stock counts.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures during receiving activities.

Skills:
