Position Summary
The Powder Coat & Fabrication Technician will play a hands-on role in the production process, focusing primarily on powder coating while also supporting fabrication and machining operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their skills across multiple areas of manufacturing while being part of a growing and innovative team.

Timeframe: 6am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Apply powder coating to fabricated parts, ensuring consistent quality and finish.
• Prepare and clean parts prior to coating, including masking, sanding, and deburring.
• Maintain and troubleshoot powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens.
• Assist fabrication and machining teams with tasks such as saw cutting, cleaning weldments, part prep, and general shop support.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets specifications.
• Support team members as needed across the fabrication department.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in powder coating, coatings/painting, or general manufacturing preferred (willing to train motivated candidates).
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions.
• Desire to learn and grow within the organization, with flexibility to support multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to maintain equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to be “on call” 1–2 weekends per month.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
