Assistant Controller

TISAX Certified ISO 9001:2015 QMS, ISO 14001:2015 EMS, ISO 45001:2018 SMS Certified Position Overview: The position will report to and assist the Controller with all general accounting functions. These functions include, but are not limited to journal entries, monthly closings, financial statements, account receivables (AR) & account payables (AP). The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day accounting operations. Responsibilities: Perform and maintain current reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including intercompany balances Maintain, manage and analyze monthly financial reports to ensure accurate departmental accounting Manage preparation of weekly cash flow forecasting and reporting and assist with cash responsibilities, including electronic payments, weekly check run and bank reconciliations Manage and oversee accounts payable processing, including approvals Manage and oversee employee expense reimbursements for compliance with company policy Manage 401(k) plan compliance and audits Assist with sales/use tax reporting and exemptions Assist in oversight of preparation and filing of payroll related reports and tax payments Support year-end financial statement audit and tax processes, including preparation of work papers and coordination with external accountants Support other various company returns, including personal property tax Supervise and mentor staff accountant(s) to ensure accurate financial reporting Assist Controller with special projects as needed Qualifications: Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or similar strongly preferred 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in accounting Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, Xlookup, formulas) Understanding of U.S. GAAP Familiarity with payroll processing, including union environments (preferred) Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments #J-18808-Ljbffr
