Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide advanced MRI imaging services in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes while adhering to safety protocols and patient care standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures across adult and pediatric patient populations, including acute care, outpatient, and trauma cases.
• Prepare and administer contrast media, monitor patient safety, and follow radiation safety protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment, such as GE systems, PACS, and related imaging accessories, to capture diagnostic images.
• Manage patient positioning, contrast administration, and monitor patient responses throughout procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation within EPIC or comparable electronic charting systems.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols, ensuring compliance with infection control policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY State license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-R certification and BLS required; MRI certification essential.
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI imaging experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, ER/Trauma, and outpatient imaging.
• Skilled in managing MRI procedures involving head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.
• Experience with starting peripheral IVs and managing contrast media preferred.
