Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• AA completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Critical care experience required. Must be prepared to care for NICU patients if the requisition calls for that. First-time travelers may be considered upon manager review with strong experience.

Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility. May request up to 7 days if the department can accommodate; a full week of time off requires a contract extension. Approved time off does not waive contracted weekly hours; travelers are expected to fulfill all contracted weekly hours. Travelers on extension contracts might be granted additional flexibility based on department needs.

Unit Details: Patient population includes pediatric critical care, neonatal critical care, and general inpatient respiratory care. Uses Omnicell. Equipment includes Draeger V500 and Savina 300 ventilators, 3100A Oscillator, Hamilton C1/MRI, ResMed APAP, CPAP, and Bi-level devices, Airvo2 high-flow devices, Cough Assist, Incourage vest, ABL90 blood gas machines, IPV, and Praxair iNO.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation. Generally, no call is required unless it is planned for events such as the Rally at Rapid City Hospital. Work on holidays that fall within the contract dates.

Floating Requirements: RT coverage extends throughout the hospital and ED. The clinician will not float to other facilities unless hired for that specifically.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
