Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide urgent Gastroenterology coverage on an inpatient basis at a Level 1 Trauma facility
• 24-hour call shifts running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM the following morning
• Coverage required for locums on a 365-days-per-year basis with 7-day stints preferred
• Perform required procedures including scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, GI bleed management, and evaluation of GI problems
• Candidates must be able to perform ERCP and EUS to be considered
• Consult service role - GI does not admit patients directly
• Expect approximately 8-10 new patient admissions and follow-ups, plus 5-8 scopes per day
• Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients (15 years and older, 50 kg minimum for pediatric trauma)
• 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services available on-site
• EMR system: EPIC experience required
• No support staff provided
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
• Gastroenterology Fellowship required
• Active DEA required for credentialing
• Active Colorado license or active IMLC highly preferred
• Candidates must detail the number of shifts per month they can commit to on an ongoing basis
• Local/drive-in candidates are highly preferred and will be placed as Tier 1 providers
