Locations: HOUSTON, United States, 77056 | PLANO, United States, 75024 Business Development / Sales / Marketing Business Unit: Supply & Energy Management Division: BP B2B US Contract type: Permanent Working hours: Full - Time Pay Basis: Annual What You Can Expect As our Sales Representative I with ENGIE North America, your primary objective is to prospect and acquire new Commercial and Industries (C&I) customers for ENGIE retail business in the Texas (ERCOT) region to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. In this role you will be Self-originate opportunities by identifying prospective Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers using Marketing campaigns and Hoovers data while relying on your market knowledge, cold calling and networking skills resulting in the creation of a pipeline, within your prescribed territory. This role sits in Houston, TX or Dallas, TX and will report to the Regional Vice President of Sales - ERCOT. Evaluate customer creditworthiness according to Credit Guidelines, utilizing financial literacy and relationship management abilities to gather necessary data for credit risk analysis Gather consumption data and account information to qualify customer interest, tailoring price proposals to meet their specific needs and load patterns Master ENGIE product offerings and communicate how proposals align with customer requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs Utilize questioning, listening, and persuasive skills to assess customer needs, propose tailored electricity supply offers, negotiate terms, and close transactions, collaborating with key teams for seamless service delivery and revenue realization What You'll Bring You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. In lieu of a degree you have three (3) years of working experience where you gained hands-on experience in business principles, management, and marketing While this is an entry-level position, you will be expected to perform and contribute meaningfully, gaining experience in retail energy sales and in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed targets You possess direct sales experience, ideally within the retail energy industry You demonstrate persuasive communication, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to interact with executive-level decision-makers You are a self-driven individual capable of quickly learning new products, processes, and systems You demonstrate the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently on a timely basis Additional Details This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record for travel and car rentals Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies Compensation Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,400 USD annually This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
