Job Description
Operating Room Nurse Job Description An exciting opportunity awaits an Operating Room Nurse with a strong background in surgical nursing to join a dynamic healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide nursing care in the operating room environment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and ready for use.
- Administer medications and maintain IV lines as necessary.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be AHA certified).
- Certification as a Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
- Proficient in starting IVs and managing IV therapy.
- 10-hour shifts with no requirements for weekends, on-call, or holiday work.
- High-volume surgical environment, handling 40-60 cases per day.
- Use of Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Scrubs provided in maroon color.
- Floor orientation will last for 1 week to familiarize with procedures and protocols.
