Driver

Location: Geocycle Coleman, MI Job Req ID: 16887 Driver About The Role Ensures the safe and timely delivery of material to the customer and returns to the assigned area for additional loads. This is not an over‑the‑road truck driving job and requires the driver to climb in and out of the truck throughout the day. Shift is 7 a.m.–7 p.m. with some flexibility on start times. What You’ll Accomplish Practice and promote safety by assessing risks before starting tasks, performing only authorized activities, and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Report to work with required PPE as directed by dispatcher, properly fill out time/load sheets, log book, vehicle condition reports, and perform required pre‑trip inspections. Deliver material as specified, maintaining good public relations with the customer(s). Maintain truck appearance, proper tire pressure, proper fluid levels of oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and fuel, and perform minor repairs as needed. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure safe operation of the truck. Ensure that safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times. Complete all necessary paperwork; assist with plant work as required by plant management. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communication, improvement, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments. What We’re Looking For Required Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Required Work Experience 1 year of commercial driving experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Training/Certifications Chauffeur’s license or CDL.
