Training Specialist I
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking a Training Specialist I. This position is in the Division of Hunting and Game Management and involves managerial responsibilities for the hunter safety program in the northeast region. The duties include overseeing the hunter safety program, recruiting and supervising volunteer instructors, and managing the program's inventory. The role also involves promoting additional hunter safety training activities and assisting in the supervision of commission-managed shooting ranges.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The candidate must have good knowledge of hunter education programs, firearms, firearm safety, hunting methods, training theory, instructional design, program management, hunting and shooting laws, range safety operations, supervision, and marketing principles. Skills in computer use for word processing, information management, communications, and data management are required. Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a large corps of volunteers.
