QC Lab Technician

Position Overview QC Lab Technician – US – Sarasota, FL (Hourly rate: $19.50). The technician is an integral member of the Quality Control team, responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, performing instrument calibration and metrology, and testing in the laboratory while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare media; set up, operate, clean and maintain equipment at the bench. Collect and record experimental samples, perform sample assays, conduct data analysis and reporting, and maintain supply stocks. Receive, log, and process diagnostic kits. Accurately and precisely prepare and analyze samples. Clean, assemble and sterilize laboratory equipment and glassware. Prepare media, filter, and perform in‑situ sterilization as required. Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues. Execute experiment and sampling protocols; provide feedback and improve these protocols. Stock lab supplies and order as necessary to ensure adequate supplies. Write, improve, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures. Document experimental runs by maintaining accurate and thorough lab notebooks and electronic documentation. Write technical reports to communicate results within the team and across departments. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent. 1 to 3 years of experience in a laboratory environment. Physical Requirements Operate laboratory equipment. Required to bend, sit, stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear constantly. Specific vision abilities: adjust focus, close vision, depth perception, distance vision, peripheral vision.
