Senior Accountant - GAAP & SOX Compliance

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations, contributing to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while ensuring compliance with SOX controls. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Financial Systems, this position offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse accounting functions and collaborate closely with key business partners. Responsibilities Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closing: Assist with timely and accurate closings, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and documentation retention. Financial Statement Preparation: Contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial statements and disclosures. Audit Support: Fulfill audit requests and inquiries from external auditors and third parties. Intercompany Coordination: Collaborate with FP&A and IT teams to allocate revenues and costs across subsidiaries. Contract Management: Work closely with Account Management and Legal teams to track and report revenues and expenses in accordance with US GAAP, focusing on grant programs and contract efficiencies. SOX Compliance: Manage and execute SOX controls related to revenue and costs, ensuring adherence to internal financial reporting controls. Special Projects: Lead and support ad hoc analyses, reporting tasks, and special projects as assigned. Required Skills and Experience Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Oracle NetSuite), knowledge of GAAP, and familiarity with SOX and internal controls. Software Knowledge: Experience with Sitetracker/Salesforce and Coupa is advantageous. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and organizational skills. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders. Advanced Excel: Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting. Compensation and Benefits For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the salary range for this position is estimated between $90,000 to $100,000 USD.
