Job description:

Close Companions, located at Williamsburg Retirement Community, is looking for compassionate, fun, energetic individuals to join our caregiving team!

We are hiring for an overnight Caregiver!

11 P.M. - 7 A.M.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate care and support to our residents throughout the night.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and safety monitoring
• Ensure residents are comfortable and cared for, reporting any concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• CNA Certification preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
• Experience as CNA /Med Tech.
• Good communication skills, such as being able to communicate effectively with residents, staff, family members, and professionals. Including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
• Have a positive and compassionate attitude
• Must be 18 or older

A background check is required for this position upon hire, as well as a food handlers permit, CPR/First Aid certification, and a TB test.
