What You'll Do:

• Provide inpatient cardiothoracic surgical procedures including CABG, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Round on hospitalized cardiac surgery patients and manage postoperative care
• Respond to emergent procedures during on-call hours
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and EMR records in Meditech
• Support ongoing surgical cases, typically performing 1-2 CABG procedures weekly alongside other inpatient cases

What You Need:

• Ohio Medical License in good standing
• Board Certified or eligible in Surgery with cardiothoracic specialty
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
• Strong procedural skills including CABG, thoracic, vascular procedures (bonus but not required)
• Ability to work independently in a busy hospital environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment:

This position is based at a leading hospital in Steubenville, Ohio, supporting inpatient cardiac surgery services. The surgeon will be responsible for providing direct, hands-on care to cardiac surgery patients, including performing procedures and managing post-operative recovery.
