Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor to prepare, identify, and route clinical specimens in a high-volume diagnostic laboratory setting. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, and shipping in a fast-paced environment working evening and rotating weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis according to standard procedures
- Unpack specimens and route to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment
- Enter patient information into systems with accuracy and timeliness
- Store excess samples properly and document problem specimens
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to handle biological specimens safely
- Accurate specimen identification and labeling skills
- Strong data entry and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds
- Pass standardized color blindness test
