Makes sure that unit and part production is fulfilled on a timely basis, according to terms of production orders. Monitors work area to make sure that work and equipment is performed in a safe and productive manner. Also performs various Human Relations tasks.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSOversees the performance of assigned tasks; develops production standards; maintains constant checks on production to ensure quality and quantity control of finished products; and maintains surveillance over equipment and machinery maintenanceEnsures on-the-job training is conducted for workers in methods and equipment used in production; and provides support functions to include maintaining tools, machinery, equipment, and safety.Prepares reports of operations and related documents.Supervise production facility and personnelPerform various human resource functionsReads and interprets drawings, sketches and diagramsOversees the repairs and/or modifications of existing and new products accordance with established specifications and proceduresEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and suppliesPromotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesKeeps Manufacturing Engineer / Plant Operations abreast of all activities conductedPerforms other job-related duties as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESIndividual must possess these knowledge's, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.Knowledge of quality control standards to maintain satisfactory levels of productionKnowledge of departmental organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulationsSkill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.Skill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.Ability to resolve conflicts in a courteous and professional mannerSkill to train and supervise lead persons and production employees.Skill to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Skill in problem-solving techniques.Skill in the use of machinery and equipment in the assigned area.Experience of LEAN ManufacturingKnowledge of mechanical assembly operationsKnowledge of industrial paint and paint processesGood math and measurement skillsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to manage several projects simultaneouslyIntermediate computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, and AccessEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociates degree, technical certificate, or equivalent coursework or experience in a directly related area with 5+ year experience with relation to the duties and responsibilities specified.
