Role Description The Site Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Houston, responsible for overseeing safety programs and practices on industrial maintenance, construction, and soft craft projects. This role develops, implements, and updates site-specific safety plans, ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and other applicable standards. The Site Safety Manager conducts regular site inspections, risk assessments, and job safety analyses, and leads safety meetings, orientations, and ongoing training for team members and subcontractors. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring work activities for safety hazards, guiding corrective actions, and maintaining documentation such as incident reports, safety audits, and regulatory records. The role also collaborates closely with project leadership and client representatives to promote a strong safety culture, investigate accidents and near-misses, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety, with the ability to apply safety principles in complex industrial environments. Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for compliance. Strong background in Safety Training, including developing and delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized training programs. Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations. Prior experience in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, chemicals, energy, or manufacturing is highly beneficial. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams on safety matters. Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, reporting, and safety metrics in a fast-paced project environment.
