The ER nurse will manage a diverse patient population, including stroke and pediatric cases, while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and maintaining thorough documentation. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; 2 years minimum experience; no specific location requirements; 0 years experience listed. Schedule: Evening shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include patient assessment and management in a Level 1 trauma setting, triage, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The ER unit features 33 beds, including 25 with cardiac monitors, and a triage area staffed with Midlevels, RNs, and LVNs. Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system preferred; candidates should clarify if their Cerner experience was recent. The unit observes a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, handles an average of 210 patients, and requires strong documentation skills. Additional operational notes: No floating outside the ER, up to 6 shifts of orientation with a preceptor, and participation in weekend and holiday rotations as required.
