Level C Maintenance Technician (Stanford)

Join our team as a Level C Maintenance Technician, where you'll be responsible for maintaining garbage trucks across the Central Kentucky area. This role involves a variety of tasks from changing oil, rotating tires, and changing brakes, to conducting mechanical repairs on garbage truck equipment. Additionally, you will handle work orders and schedule regular maintenance for the trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Conduct mechanical repairs on garbage truck equipment.
• Change brakes and perform necessary mechanical adjustments.
• Complete work orders and maintain detailed service records.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance for the fleet.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on vehicles.

• 2-5 years of experience in diesel/heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical skills, including auto repair.
• Experience with hydraulics and heavy diesel systems.

• Technical college or diesel mechanic certification (preferred).
• Willingness to learn and work with garbage trucks.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.

Work Environment

Work in a very 5S environment where cleanliness and organization are prioritized. While the bays are kept clean, please be prepared to work with garbage trucks that may have exposure to dirt and odors. The openings are located in Lexington.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stanford, KY.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
