Dispatcher

Overview

We are seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily movement of dry bulk tanker shipments within a defined region. This role is responsible for scheduling deliveries, supporting drivers, and ensuring safe, on-time, and accurate execution of freight operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and dispatch daily loads, coordinating pickups and deliveries
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers (routing, scheduling, paperwork)
• Communicate with customers to manage shipment timing and service needs
• Monitor orders, emails, and dispatch systems to ensure accurate scheduling
• Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and billing procedures
• Support invoicing accuracy through proper documentation and load tracking
• Assist with freight sourcing and maintain strong customer relationships
• Participate in shared dispatch coverage and occasional on-call support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or bulk/tanker operations preferred
• Plastics/resin or pneumatic tanker experience a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Proficient with basic computer systems and dispatch tools
