Lead Technician

Job Overview We have an outstanding contract position for a Lead Technician to join a leading Company located in the Baldwin Park, CA surrounding area. Pay Rate: $22-28/hr. Responsibilities Provide technical/operational support to production cells, including disassembly, cleaning, safety wiring and painting of aviation components. Serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels. Report to cell leads for any technical issues. Ensure personnel follow appropriate technical data during any maintenance function. Ensure proper handling of all parts while being processed through the maintenance function. Distribute work to qualified technicians within the shop. Perform in-process inspections as delineated in the RSQC Manual. Complete all maintenance documentation legibly and correctly. Maintain calibrated and serviceable tools and equipment in respective areas. Perform all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable manual and document on appropriate forms. Verify signatures, stamps or initials on forms before submitting unit for final inspection. Confirm technicians perform safe, efficient and quality maintenance. Review accuracy and quality of work performed within shops. Order correct parts by monitoring completion of the Work Order Bill of Materials. Segregate rejected/unserviceable parts from usable material. Tag and identify parts and components as delineated in RSQC Manual. Document preliminary and hidden damage on appropriate forms. Assist production manager in training technicians on procedures, use of dimensional devices and manual signing out. Coordinate duties with production manager for assignment to other qualified personnel when needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanic or Repair Station Certificate required per 14 CFR Part 65. Preferred: A&P license, FCC, Military technical education/training. Minimum of 5 years experience within the aviation industry. Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment. System knowledge such as Microsoft Office and Quantum preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines. Hands‑on individual who can see the big picture. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
