PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY MEDICINE
High-acuity dedicated children's hospital in Mississippi
Position Highlights :
- Quality of Life Schedule:
- 112 hours per month with 8, 9 and 10 hour shifts
- 14 hours of protected remote charting time
- Dedicated nocturnist to reduce overnight shift burden
- High-Acuity, Well-Supported Practice:
- State's only dedicated children's hospital
- Full pediatric subspecialty support including PICU, NICU, and surgical services
- Additional support from APPs, residents, and fellows
- Ideal Work Environment:
- No individual RVU quotas
- Work in a relaxed academic environment - no office hours or dress code
- Substantial malpractice risk insulation
- Light Academic Responsibilities:
- 10% protected academic time focused on teaching
- Achievable promotion pathway without research requirements
Compensation & Benefits :
- Competitive Compensation: 2-year guarantee
- Extra Compensation: Additional earning potential with extra shifts paid at $240/hour; moonlighting also available
- Relocation: $20K supplement
- CME Funds: $4500 annual reimbursement
- PTO: 8.2 weeks of paid time off annually
Qualifications:
- Fellowship training preferred
- Open to General Pediatrics with high-acuity emergency medicine experience
- J1 waiver and H1b sponsorship available
