Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician – Crisis Evaluations

Schedule: Shift options: 10-hour shifts — Days 07:00–19:30 or Evenings 16:00–02:00. Weekends: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday required).

Requirements: Licensure: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Minimum experience: 1 year. Preferred: Hospital/Emergency Department experience. Required certifications: BLS. Key clinical focus: Crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics; level-of-care recommendations.

Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct crisis and risk assessments for adults and children presenting with mental health and substance use disorders. Provide evaluations for danger to self/others or grave disability in an Emergency Department setting. Consult with Emergency Department attending providers or advanced practice providers regarding care options. Facilitate brief individual and family counseling, and make referrals for treatment or long-term care as needed. Coordinate care and connect patients with community resources and support services.

Compliance / Notes: Documents typically required pre-start: last 4 digits of SSN and standard compliance items. References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years (can include Charge RNs/Leads). Candidates may be expected to float to sister facilities; refusal to float can affect assignment.
