Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients and answer telephones
- Verify insurance and schedule appointments
- Confirm patient appointments
- Check-in and check-out patients
- Collect patient charges
- Pre-authorize insurance for patient referrals
- Check inbox for incoming specialist reports, refills, and lab reports--flag to appropriate parties
- Manage referrals to specialists and obtain medications
- Complete insurance companies’ annual reports
- Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations
- Support office with administrative and routine tasks
- REQUIREMENT: Fluent in both English AND Vietnamese
- Interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility and attention to detail, efficient problem solver
- Knowledge of medical language and health insurance plans
- High school diploma or GED required. MA either by education or experience preferred.
- Experience with MS Office software
- Knowledge of medical billing is a PLUS
