Roles & Responsibilities

Works under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer as a member of the nurse leadership team. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Clinical: Teaching and training of Deputy Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, Care Coordinator team and nursing staff.
• Administrative: Various duties to ensure quality patient care, excellent patient flow, and efficiency of operations within the nursing department.
• Supervisory: Supervises and oversees Deputy Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, Care Coordinator team, and clinical staff.

Position Requirements - Qualifications & Education Requirement

Current Commonwealth of Virginia Registered Nurse required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution preferred. Minimum of five years of family practice clinical experience at an acute care or ambulatory setting required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience required. Community health center experience highly preferred. BLS required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include demonstrated ability to be a team player, strong track record of positive patient, peer, physician, and administrative relationships, cultural sensitivity and competence, excellent oral and written communication skills, well organized, ability to handle conflicts and crisis in a professional manner, treating all patients with dignity and respect, professional and courteous communication with patients to promote superior customer service, knowledge of comprehensive health programs, public health principles, preventive care recommendations, clinical practice guidelines and quality improvement, and ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
